Spreading hope, love, and renewal this Easter season
Dear Friends, Partners, and the Communities We Serve,
On behalf of the entire management and staff of Akuoro Restore Hope Initiative – Uganda (RHOI-Uganda), I warmly extend our heartfelt Happy Easter wishes to you and your families.
This season is a powerful reminder of hope, renewal, and love — the very values that shape our mission and work every day. As we reflect on the deeper meaning of Easter, we are filled with gratitude for the journey we’ve shared in transforming lives and building resilient communities.
Over the past months, your support has brought light into many lives — from educating children, to empowering women with skills, and bringing healthcare and clean water to families in need. These are the true signs of Easter’s promise — new beginnings and restored hope.
As we celebrate, may we all renew our commitment to serve with compassion, walk in unity, and uplift the most vulnerable among us.
🌿 May this Easter bring peace to your hearts, joy to your homes, and strength for the days ahead. 🌿
Happy Easter!
Okiror Solomon
Managing Director,
On behalf of the Management – RHOI-Uganda
On the 9th of October, 2024, RHOI-Uganda was honored to welcome a delegation from the Senior Experten Service (SES), led by the esteemed Ms. Agnes. The visit was a momentous occasion, marking yet another milestone in our ongoing efforts to build strategic partnerships that support vulnerable communities in Uganda.
During their visit, Ms. Agnes and her team toured our project sites, interacted with community beneficiaries, and held fruitful discussions with the RHOI management team. Their engagement and insights brought fresh perspectives on how we can further strengthen our interventions across health, education, skills empowerment, and water access.
The SES team commended the passion and resilience of the RHOI-Uganda team, especially in reaching underserved populations through grassroots-led solutions. They expressed deep appreciation for the transparency, impact, and sustainability embedded in our work.
This visit reaffirmed our shared belief that lasting change happens through collaboration. We are optimistic that this connection with SES, facilitated through Ms. Agnes' leadership, will lead to long-term technical support and mentorship in our future initiatives.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire SES team and look forward to deeper engagements in the months to come.
Empowered to Transform
RHOI-Uganda marked a major milestone on August 1st, 2024, with the official launch of the RHOI Community Medical Clinic — a facility established to bring accessible, affordable, and compassionate healthcare to the underserved populations of Angole, Kyere Sub-county, and surrounding communities.
The event was graced by community leaders, local authorities, healthcare professionals, and enthusiastic residents who turned up to celebrate this long-awaited development. With smiles and hope written across every face, the launch brought not only joy but the assurance of better days ahead in health service delivery.
RHOI-Uganda’s commitment to grassroots health has always been unwavering. The launch of this clinic represents the organization’s vision of “empowering communities through holistic care.” The clinic will provide outpatient consultations, maternal and child health services, health education, and preventive care — bridging the gap for rural families who previously had to travel miles for basic treatment.
The vibrant clinic team, composed of passionate and qualified health workers, is already on ground — offering their expertise with heart. They are the true champions of this cause, ready to serve with dignity, care, and professionalism.
“Our dream is that no mother, child, or elderly person will suffer because of distance or lack of means. This clinic brings healthcare to the people, right where they are.” — RHOI-Uganda Management
We extend our deepest gratitude to all partners, well-wishers, and community members who made this possible. Together, we celebrate the birth of hope, health, and healing for generations to come.

Meet Sarah — a married mother of two and one of the pioneer students in RHOI-Uganda’s tailoring program. With limited resources but a determination to create a better future for her family, Sarah enrolled in our skilling project, ready to learn and grow.
After successfully completing the tailoring course, Sarah didn’t stop there. With continued support from RHOI-Uganda, she advanced into sweater knitting, mastering techniques that have not only empowered her but also enabled her to become a trainer for other young women in her community.
"Before RHOI-Uganda came in, I struggled to provide for my children. Today, I own a small tailoring and knitting business. I’m not only earning, but also teaching others. I never imagined I’d be this confident and self-reliant." — Sarah
Sarah’s success is a shining example of what happens when opportunity meets determination. Her story is a powerful reminder that with the right support, dreams can become reality — and impact can multiply.
The RHOI Education Support Project (RHES–P) uplifts vulnerable children through full academic sponsorship — covering school fees, scholastic materials, and emotional support. This initiative is dedicated to ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has a fair shot at quality education and a brighter tomorrow.
RHES–P focuses on pupils from underprivileged families — especially orphans, children with disabilities, and those at risk of dropping out. With ongoing support, many of these pupils have shown remarkable academic progress and are developing strong leadership qualities.
"Now I go to school with a bag full of books and hope. I want to become a nurse and help others the way RHOI helped me." – Grace, P.4 pupil
